- A very dwarf, beautifully coloured
form of Iris reticulata, which was
originally collected in North Eastern Azerbaidjan
where the species is at the very limit of its north easterly range.
- The flowers in this accession are naturally small, reaching up
to 4 cm across. They fit perfectly with the descriptions given by Brian
Mathew, in "The Iris". However the miniature flowers are at the very
bottom of the size range for the species.
- A very distinct and attractive clone, with strongly coloured, bicoloured flowers, the size makes them perfect for a
pan. It might be noted that hand-pollinated seedlings of this plant show
the same dwarf size, however just a few in each batch are a little taller
with bigger flowers and slight colour
deviations.
